Aspic of Wild Berries in Port Essence

Ingredients |

3 cups |
Water |
|
3 cups |
Port Wine |
|
2 cups |
Sugar |
|
1 1/2 ounces |
Gelatin |
|
1 each |
Apple |
|
3 each |
Cloves |
|
1 pint |
Wild Mixed Berries |
Preparation
-
Combine water, port wine and sugar
and bring to a boil
-
add in the gelatin and allow the
mixture to come to room temperature
-
Place the fruit in the mold and
fill the liquid 1/2 way up the fruit and allow to chill
-
When the aspic has chilled, fill
the rest of the mold. This will allow the fruit to remain on the top when
it is turned out of the mold.
